Cookie policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
In short
This website uses technical cookies, which are essential and need no consent, and, only if you accept them, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel). On your first visit, you'll see a notice with three equally visible buttons: "Accept all," "Reject all," and "Settings." If you reject, nothing from Google or Meta is loaded.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage (localStorage), work in much the same way, and this policy covers them too. First-party cookies are stored on this website's domain (even when another company's tool sets them); third-party cookies are stored on a different domain.
What this website uses
Technical (always on)
Needed for the website to work and to remember what you chose. They are exempt from consent (Article 22(2) of Spain's LSSI-CE).
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |

This website | Storing your cookie choice and its date | 12 months; then you're asked again | First-party |
tc-vid, tc-vidn (local storage) |
This website | Remembering whether you turned the cover video on or off | Until you clear your browser data | First-party |
| Spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) | Cloudflare | Telling a person from a bot when the form is submitted. It sets no persistent cookies; it issues a one-time token and may use temporary data while the check runs | Only during the check | Third-party |
The fonts (Adobe Fonts) load without cookies.
Analytics (only with your consent)
They tell me how many people visit the website and which pages they read, in aggregated figures.

Advertising / marketing (only with your consent)
They measure whether my ads on Facebook and Instagram bring visitors and readers.

_fbp |
Meta (Meta Pixel) | Identifying the browser to measure ads and visits | 90 days | First-party |
_fbc |
Meta (Meta Pixel) | Storing the click ID; only created if you arrive from a Meta ad | 90 days | First-party |
fr |
Meta | Delivering, measuring, and improving the relevance of ads | 90 days | Third-party (facebook.com) |
Google and Meta may change these durations; the current ones are in the Google Analytics documentation and Meta's Cookies Policy.
How to change or withdraw your consent
At any time, via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer: it opens the category panel, where you can switch each one on or off. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. When you switch a category off, the website stops loading its tools and deletes that category's cookies stored on this domain; the fr cookie, which lives on facebook.com, can only be deleted by you in your browser or your Meta account.
Your choice is kept for 12 months; after that, or if this policy changes significantly, you'll be asked again.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block the technical ones too, the website will still work, but it will show the notice on every visit and forget your video preference.
International transfers
Google and Meta also process data in the United States. Their parent companies, Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc., participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Details, including Meta's role as joint controller, are in the Privacy policy.
Third-party content
This website does not embed videos, maps, or social media buttons. Links to YouTube, Instagram, Telegram, LinkedIn, or the stores selling the book are ordinary links: when you click them, you leave this website and those sites' policies apply.
